Hello from last Saturday! Today was a busy, but fun, day for me. I got a haircut with a new style that I’m loving, then went book shopping and for sushi with a good friend. So, despite the heat, it was a great day.
I mentioned in my last newsletter that I would follow up on my book acquisitions, especially if I got the books I was looking for. And I lucked out and am happy to report that I got all three I wanted and put my birthday coupon to good use. All Signs Point To Yes, A Proposal They Can’t Refuse, and Chef’s Kiss have all been added to my home library and I can’t wait to devour them.

Riot Recommendations
Sometimes, you just want a nice calm, low stakes romance. At least, I know I do after the last couple of weeks I’ve had and these books seem to fit that bill.

As someone who considers herself an ambivert, I can understand the struggle that June faces wanting to stay inside with her cats but also wanting to occasionally venture outside to meet people. Her relationship with Selena sounds wonderfully balanced since she appears to be more outgoing but is also understanding of those moments when June needs her downtime.

I’m a sucker for a good old sunshine/grump romance and that is what this is. What begins as a business relationship of reciprocity quickly develops into a mutual attraction and love as both women realize that, no matter where you are in life, love can change everything.
