Mine was pretty eventful, actually. I had a nice reading retreat weekend, read some books, did some more packing, and yeah, I did go see Nope, but no spoilers here. Now I’ve got tons of exciting book news to share with you.

I’m so excited to share that one of my most anticipated novels of 2023 has finally gotten a cover reveal! Here it is: Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah’s debut novel, Chain-Gang All-Stars. It’s out from Penguin Random House on April 4, 2023, and I cannot wait!
Michelle Obama has announced her new book, The Light We Carry, which will be out from Penguin Random House on November 15th!
Here’s another exciting cover reveal: V. Castro’s The Haunting of Alejandra, out from Del Ray books on April 18, 2023.

HBO has released the full-length trailer for its upcoming series House of the Dragon. The series premiere was also announced: the first episode drops on August 21st.
Netflix has greenlit the Japanese mystery thriller series Burn the House Down, based on the manga by Moyashi Fujisawa.
A job listing for a Pokémon archivist has been posted. The archivist will be tasked with cataloging Pokémon’s vast lore.

Which is why I think Sophie Go’s Lonely Hearts Club is such a fun book. And honestly, I’m getting hungry just thinking about this because the food descriptions are out of this world.
After spending three years in Shanghai, Sophie Go has returned to her home town of Toronto, ready to set up her business as a professional matchmaker. But there’s one pretty big problem with that. She never actually graduated from matchmaking school. Toronto turns out to be quite the competitive market, and no one’s interested in hiring a matchmaker with zero credentials.
