Chloe Gong Announces New These Violent Delights Spin-Off Series

Chloe Gong, author of the bestselling These Violent Delights duology, has announced a new spin-off duology focusing on the “prickly-but-passionate” Rosalind Lang. The first novel in the series Foul Lady Fortune will be published by Margaret K. McElderry Books on September 27th. “Even before I finished writing my debut, the seeds of this spin-off were taking root,” Gong told PEOPLE in a statement. “Rosalind was a character who had such a compelling background, who made terrible mistakes that I wanted to explore, but she remained in the background because it wasn’t her story…Now she gets her time in the spotlight: to fall in love (and be loved back!), to fight for what she believes in, and I’m so proud of how she shines.”

Lord of the Rings Amazon Series Reveals Full Title and Plot Details

In a new video, Amazon’s Lord of the Rings series has unveiled its full title in a new video. The 1-minute video shows molten metal filling grooves in wood while a voice says, “Three rings for the Elven kings under the sky. Seven for the dwarf lords in their halls of stone. Nine for mortal men, doomed to die. One for the dark lord on his dark throne in the land of Mordor where the shadows lie.” Then, the full title of the show is revealed: The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. “This is a title that we imagine could live on the spine of a book next to J.R.R. Tolkien’s other classics,” said showrunners J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay. “The Rings of Power unites all the major stories of Middle-earth’s Second Age: the forging of the rings, the rise of the Dark Lord Sauron, the epic tale of Númenor, and the Last Alliance of Elves and Men. Until now, audiences have only seen on-screen the story of the One Ring –but before there was one, there were many… and we’re excited to share the epic story of them all.” The epic fantasy series will debut on Amazon on September 2nd, 2022, with new episodes coming out weekly.
